Does pallet racking have to be anchored?
Yes. Anchoring every upright is standard practice and required by most rack manufacturers, insurers and inspectors.
What size anchor for pallet rack?
Most uprights use 1/2″-diameter anchors about 4″ long, installed through each foot plate. Heavy-duty frames specify 1/2″ × 4-1/4″ wedge anchors.
