Structural steel cantilever rack columns in 10′, 12′, 16′ and 20′ heights, single or double sided, for lumber, pipe and long-load storage.
The column is the vertical backbone of a cantilever rack. Arms bolt to the column and bases anchor it to the floor. Column height and spacing determine how many arm levels you get and how long a load you can support.
We supply structural steel columns in dark blue, light blue and orange, plus light-duty double-sided columns for shops.

How far apart should cantilever columns be?
As a rule of thumb, load length should allow a column every 4′ to 5′ with the load overhanging the end columns by about half a column spacing. A 20′ load, for example, typically sits on 4 columns. We’ll lay it out for your material.
What colors do cantilever columns come in?
We stock structural cantilever in dark blue, light blue and orange. Keeping one color per run simplifies matching arms and bases.
What steel are your structural cantilever columns made from?
Our structural cantilever columns are W8 × 18 wide-flange beams to ASTM A572 Grade 50, certified to a minimum yield of 345 MPa (50 ksi) and minimum tensile of 450 MPa (65 ksi), with EN 10204 3.1 mill certification.
Can I get mill test certificates for the steel?
Yes. The steel is supplied with an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate, documenting chemistry and lab-tested yield, tensile strength and elongation for each lot. Ask for copies with your quote. Inspectors and engineers often request them.
