Heavy-duty pallet racking with 13 and 12-gauge 3″ × 3″ frames rated up to 32,870 lb and 5″–6″ step beams rated up to 9,989 lb per pair at 8′.
When loads are heavy, frames are tall, or forklifts work hard, standard racking isn’t enough. Heavy-duty systems pair thicker-gauge columns with deep-face step beams and stiffer 4-pin connectors.
Our engineered heavy-duty components have published capacities from independent testing to ANSI MH16.1-2023, so the system is sized to your actual loads. Projects at or above 10,000 lb per beam pair are reviewed by a design engineer, and custom dimensions are available.

When do I need heavy-duty pallet racking?
Consider heavy duty when pallet loads push a beam pair past roughly 5,000 lb, frames are taller than 20′, or forklift traffic is heavy. For reference, a 12 GA frame is rated 31,760 lb versus 14,990 lb for 16 GA with the first beam at 48″. Rated capacities depend on frame height, beam spacing and bracing. We confirm capacities for your exact configuration with every quote.
What is the strongest pallet rack beam you carry?
Our 6″ step beam (0.079″ steel, 4-pin) is rated 18,646 lb per pair at 48″ and 9,989 lb at 96″. Loads of 10,000 lb or more per pair are reviewed by a design engineer.
How should heavy-duty uprights be anchored?
Every frame must be anchored to the floor. The engineered frame ratings require anchors designed per ACI 318-14 Chapter 17, and taller frames or seismic requirements may call for more anchors per base plate. We anchor every frame on installs.
Can I get mill test certificates for the steel?
Yes. The steel is supplied with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates from BIS-licensed mills, documenting chemistry and lab-tested yield, tensile strength and elongation for each lot. Ask for copies with your quote. Inspectors and engineers often request them.
